I hope one day they can forgive me after what happened. And I hope that they can move on and find someone to be with since I can't anymore.

If they love you half as much as you love them I'm sure they've already forgiven you.

I hope so. I just don't want them to mourn me too long.

I just want them to be happy. Unfortunately I don't know what to do about myself.

[Angeal looks over at Gaignun. A man who wishes someone else happiness even if it's not with him. If that's not love, Angeal has no idea what is.]

What do you mean?

[Whoops, he shouldn't have said that. Really it just slipped out.]

Well, I'm dead there, and I highly doubt that they will ever show up here...[He really didn't want to admit that he was starting to feel a bit lonely, even with his brothers here.]

Still, I don't think I'm really ready to even try thinking about moving on either.

[This is the part where Angeal isn't sure whether to think the girls might show up or share that he himself would've sworn up and down he wasn't ready to find someone and would've been his most stubborn obstinate self. It'd really just happened.]

You don't need to decide or figure that out today.

[Gaignun laughed softly, though it was more at himself then anything.] My turn for a question Angeal, why did this have you so worked up?

I just wondered..why he would mention you of all people. But it's like you said, he misunderstood what he saw and heard.

[He doesn't quite believe you there Angeal, but ok] Well, you are cute, but you're taken now so you don't need to worry.

[Cue all the coughing. So much so that Angeal pushes himself away from the table and stands up, facing away from Gaignun.]

You have..a strange sense of humour.

[That comes out in between coughs. Because Gaignun had to be teasing and it couldn't be actually meant.]

Are you alright Angeal? [Gaignun had only meant to fluster Angeal a little because he thought the man would deny being cute, not kill him via tea. Though he wasn't lying when he said Angeal was cute.]

Here, let me get you some water or something...

[He lifted a hand and shook his head, trying to tame the coughing. It's totally the tea because it's too hot that's all.]

No, I'm fine. Sorry..

[Cough]

..it went down the wrong pipe.

[He shook his head. Gaignun probably used that line on all the kids. Honestly, Sephiroth had been seeing things and now Angeal himself was hallucinating them.]

[He's allowed to find you actually attractive Angeal. Not that he'd make a move even if he was ready considering that Angeal is with someone now.]

If you say so...I'm sorry, I didn't think you'd take it so hard.

[That turned Angeal's head around.]

What? Take what hard?

Being called cute.

[Red face and Angeal turned back around. He's so glad Sephiroth is not here and no he's not finding out either.]

You were just teasing, it's fine.

Angeal...[Finally...the last piece of the puzzle has fallen into place.] Were you interested?

[That question has him taking on water and his head lowers. Luckily he's still turned away and long moments tick by. Gaignun's party came to mind where Angeal had to be shoved into the room and Gaignun had made his way over with a smile. The green eyes had caught his attention and as a quick hello was muttered, Angeal's voice fell unusable. He'd honestly felt like such a fool.

Then Demyx asking if Gaignun was his someone special he'd been able to contain it though their dance at the ball thing had been run through his mind. And..all that time..fuck. Now he was with Demyx and that was it but he'd answer Gaignun honestly, whether that damned him or not, at least he'd be damned for the truth. So he slowly turned around and nodded.]

I was.

[Ahah. Honesly, deep down Gaignun had thought so. Years of being the galaxies most elegible bachelor had given him some abilities in figuring out who may or may not be eying him like that. Still, this was flattering all the same, considering how Angeal probably wasn't the type to just be swayed by a pretty face and an empty smile.

So he gave Angeal a real smile.] That means a lot to me.

[It'd been an impossible thing but still Gaignun had been one of the reasons Angeal turned Zack's marriage proposal down, though that was his own secret. So he nodded, thinking on that, Gaignun's birthday party, dancing at the ball, the Halloween party, class, Mary and Shelley, thinking Gaignun was straight, out of his league and all of the other reasons Angeal hadn't said anything. There was nothing left to say.]

I'll help you clean up, then I'll get going.

[Gaignun hoped that he had at least made Angeal feel a bit better about this whole situation. Sephiroth probably hadn't meant to open this can of worms after all.]

[This was long overdue but one Angeal would've preferred to avoid. However, he's not talking about this to anyone. So he cleaned everything up, just trying to focus on small things and make it look like he was never there, though Leon had told him that he was welcome anytime for silently helping out during the epic sleep event. But that was another secret Angeal held inside. He'd kept his distance and had done the honourable and noble thing (he hoped) by leaving Gaignun alone. That was his consolation, that he'd done the right thing.

And once everything was cleaned up and all set, Angeal put his boots back on and grabbed his coat.]

Thanks for the tea. You take care of yourself.

[That's not honorable and noble Angeal, that's running away as fast as your legs could take you.]

You too...[Personally Gaignun wished Angeal wasn't running off so soon but he figured it was the best, let him have a bit of alone time so that Angeal could pull himself back together.]

Listen, Angeal. I'm glad we had this talk, and I hope it doesn't change things between us. I value your company and I hope I haven't managed to make it really awkward for you.
